5 OCTOBER 2008

We spent the day at the Riccarton Rotary Sunday Market. This is the largest outdoor market in all of New Zealand. It has enabled the Rotary Club to put into the community $1,500,000 yearly, as well as stimulating community arts and life. I fell in love with this little car that was equipped with a full service coffee bar, and it was an eco-friendly car to boot!

Here I am hoisting out an item that Tracey purchased for her son. I sure didn't feel like one of the knights of the round table carrying this thing around for her, but it was generally decided that a sword this big should at least be under cover if we are travelling on the bus. I have always been given interesting looks by people...this just added to the odd stares!
