25 SEPTEMBER 2008

After getting a great night of sleep I headed over to the Antarctica CDC...nope...not the Center for Disease Control...the Clothing Distribution Center. It is in this facility that of the Extreme Cold Weather (ECW) gear is issued. The picture displayed is from the main room of the CDC showing off the typical gear issue. I learned from last year that most of the items I brought from home were just as good if not equivalent to the items they issue. All I ended up bringing from the CDC was the "Big Red" coat, snow bibs, goggles, and ECW boots. The rest of the day was spent walking the beautiful city of Christchurch, NZ.
