Greg, Tracey, I wanted to get out of the city today. We were able to get participate on a tour of the New Zealand wine country. A bus came to our hotel and picked us up and we went on a 5 hour guided tour of the surrounding countryside. This photo may not be the best, but it was fascinating that this vineyard took a 1000 acre plot of land and using satellite imaging planted each vine, perfectly spaced across the entire acreage for the maximum use of space. Interspaced throughout the vineyard are these windmills for power generation as well as heating the air to prevent the frost kill of the grapes. It may be hard to see, but there is still plenty of snow in the mountains surrounding the area...in fact the ski resorts are still in full operation. I don't need to see the snow...I will be surrounded by it soon enough.
